Qtectic’s fundamental obligation during the operations phase is to ensure that the Multiple Units and Simulators are maintained and remain available.

With the significant expansion of the fleet size, to support Brisbane’s train services, an increase in maintenance facilities was required and the new purpose-built NGR Maintenance Centre was contructed at Wulkuraka, Queensland.

A&M Services:

Under the A&M Subcontract, Alstom is responsible for the delivery of the following services to ensure Qtectic meet their A&M Services obligations under the Project Deed:

• Provision of the required number of available Multiple Units each day
• Out-station mobile technicians for fault rectification
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Time and mileage-based overhauls
• Management of Spares (rotable, insurance and consumables)
• Mid-life refresh
• Daily internal train cleaning
• Monthly train deep cleaning (including cab front)
• Removal of graffiti and vandalism
• Corrective maintenance
• Engineering support services
• Realtime train monitoring and diagnostics through Alstom’s HealthHub™
